H.H. the Crown Prince Discusses Bilateral Relations and Ways to Develop Them with the Syrian President

His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid, the Crown Prince, received President Ahmed Al-Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting took place at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

At the outset of the meeting, His Highness the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, the Amir of the State, to His Excellency, along with best wishes for his good health and for the Syrian Arab Republic and its brotherly people for continued security, stability, and prosperity.

The meeting included discussions on the fraternal bilateral relations between the State of Kuwait and the Syrian Arab Republic, and ways to develop them in a manner that serves the interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples. The two sides also discussed the latest developments on the regional and international scenes.

Attending the meeting were Sheikh Jeraah Jaber Al-Ahmad, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; Ambassador Mansour Ayyad Al-Otaibi; Ambassador Tariq Muhammad Al-Bunai, Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations; Brigadier General Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Dai, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince; and Minister Plenipotentiary Abdullah Nasser Al-Obaidi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Affairs of the Minister’s Office.
