Positive 1-1 draw ends Oman-Iraq match - Sarmad

The Omani national team drew 1-1 with Iraq in the opening match of Group A at the 27th edition of the Gulf Cup of Nations, held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Iraqi player Mohammed Qasem opened the scoring in the sixth minute of the first half, scoring the tournament’s first goal, before Oman equalized in the second half through Nasser Al-Rawahi in the 67th minute.

Following this match, the Omani national team will face Saudi Arabia in the same group.
