Representative of His Highness the Amir receives the Secretary-General of the Arab League and his accompanying delegation

(KUNA) – His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince, received today H.E. Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the Arab League, and his accompanying delegation at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

At the outset of the meeting, His Highness the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait, to the Secretary-General, expressing his best wishes for success and prosperity in enhancing the course of Arab common action.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen Arab solidarity and cooperation, coordinate positions on Arab issues in international forums, and review the latest developments and updates on the regional and international scenes.

The meeting was attended by H.E. Sheikh Jeraf Al-Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; H.E. Sheikh Dr. Meshal Al-Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; H.E. Ambassador Mansour Ayyad Al-Otaibi; H.E. Ambassador Sadiq Mohammed Maarefi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Organizations Affairs; H.E. Ambassador Tariq Mohammed Al-Bunai, Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations; and H.E. Minister Plenipotentiary Abdullah Nasser Al-Obaidi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Minister’s Office Affairs.
