Kuwait’s Undersecretary for Social Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi, confirmed on Wednesday the commencement of personal interviews for candidates vying for supervisory positions in the cooperative sector, paving the way for the selection of 90 financial and administrative supervisors from among national talents.

In a press statement, Al-Ajmi said that the interviews began today with the participation of 100 candidates out of a total of 250 candidates whose interviews will be conducted over three days to select the most competent, based on the combined results of the written exam and the personal interview.

He clarified that the first day’s candidates include 55 applicants for the financial supervisor position and 45 for the administrative supervisor position, noting that the selection process follows specific controls and criteria that ensure equal opportunity and differentiation among candidates based on evaluation results.

He added that the Ministry of Social Affairs is proceeding with a clear and well-considered policy of replacing national talents in supervisory roles within the cooperative sector, in line with directives from the political leadership, Cabinet decisions, and instructions from the Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaili.

He noted that the objective extends beyond merely filling positions, aiming instead to select qualified national talents capable of efficiently and effectively assuming financial and administrative supervisory responsibilities in the cooperative sector.

Al-Ajmi emphasized that empowering national cadres in supervisory roles represents a continuous path in the Ministry’s work to enhance citizen presence in positions related to supervision and follow-up, protect public funds, and raise the level of discipline and efficiency in cooperative work. He pointed out that the Ministry views national talents as a fundamental pillar in developing the work system and improving performance levels in the cooperative sector.

He explained that the selection procedures are based on transparency, neutrality, and equal opportunity, as all candidates are subject to uniform standards to reach the selection of those entitled to the positions based on final results, adding that a public draw will be resorted to in case of ties in candidates’ scores.

Al-Ajmi stressed the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring that every stage of the selection process is clear, organized, and grounded in transparency and neutrality.

He affirmed that the Ministry is continuing to provide more opportunities for qualified national talents and to complete the steps of their placement in targeted positions in the cooperative sector, thereby contributing to building specialized national cadres capable of assuming their responsibilities and enhancing the efficiency of supervisory and administrative work in cooperative societies.
