Minister of Public Works: Supporting the Framework of the Global Sustainable Transport Initiative - Sarmad

Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan participated in the Ministers’ Forum held on the sidelines of the 2026 Global Forum on Sustainable Transport in Beijing, China, under the theme “Implementing the Global Development Initiative and the Global Governance Initiative to Deepen Cooperation in Sustainable Transport.”

In a statement to KUNA on Wednesday, Al-Mashaan expressed Kuwait’s welcome and support for the framework of the Global Sustainable Transport Development Initiative, commending its focus on infrastructure connectivity, resilient supply chains, sustainable investment, technological innovation, and capacity building.

She reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to working with its regional and international partners toward interconnected, resilient, environmentally friendly, and inclusive transport systems, noting that international forums represent an important opportunity to exchange successful experiences and translate shared objectives into practical cooperation.
