Crown Prince Discusses Investment in National Energy with Goldman Sachs President

His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid, representing His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received Mr. David Solomon, Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs, and his accompanying delegation on Tuesday evening. The meeting took place at the permanent mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York City, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance mutual cooperation, and examined various economic and developmental topics, as well as promising investment opportunities in Kuwait. It also focused on investing in national capacities that contribute to developing leadership and technical skills, and building a workforce capable of keeping pace with the rapid transformations in investment sectors and financial markets. Additionally, the latest economic developments on both the regional and international fronts were reviewed.
Attending the meeting were Sheikh Jaraah Jaber Al-Ahmad, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; Ambassador Mansour Ayad Al-Otaibi; Sheikha Al-Zain Sabah Al-Nasser, Kuwait’s Ambassador to the United States of America; Ambassador Tariq Muhammad Al-Banna, Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations; and Major General Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Duaiji, Director of the Crown Prince’s Office.
