Representative of His Highness the Amir Meets the Prime Minister of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Iraq

(KUNA) — His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, held a meeting today with His Excellency Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi, Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, and the accompanying delegation. The meeting took place at the United Nations headquarters in New York on the sidelines of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the UN General Assembly. Sheikh Sabah is the representative of His Highness the Amir of the State, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect him and guard him.

The meeting discussed the relations between the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Iraq, as well as ways to strengthen them across various fields in the interest of the shared interests of the two countries and their fraternal peoples. It also addressed recent developments and issues of common concern on both the regional and international stages.

Attending the meeting were His Excellency Sheikh Jaraah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; His Excellency Ambassador Mansour Ayad Al-Otaibi; and His Excellency Ambassador Tariq Al-Banna, Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
