Representative of His Highness the Amir Meets the Prime Minister of Canada During the Opening Session of the UN General Assembly

(KUNA) – His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, protected by God, met today with the Honourable Mr. Mark Carney, Prime Minister of friendly Canada, during the opening session of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, the close relations between the State of Kuwait and Canada were reviewed, and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields were discussed. An agreement was also reached to work toward establishing a strategic dialogue between the two friendly countries, co-chaired by the foreign ministers of both nations, which will serve as an institutionalized and regular framework for consultation and coordination, helping to elevate bilateral relations to broader horizons in the interest of the shared interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples.

In addition, the most prominent issues and topics on the agenda of the General Assembly were discussed, along with the latest developments and updates on both the regional and international scenes.
