U.S. Vice President: Iran will not be able to build a nuclear weapon in the near term - Sarmad

U.S. Vice President JD Vance stated that Iran will not be able to build a nuclear weapon in the near term, following U.S. strikes on its nuclear facilities, adding that President Donald Trump’s goal is to prevent Tehran from rebuilding its program in the coming years.

Speaking to Newsmax, Vance said, “Can Iran build a nuclear weapon tomorrow if it tries? No. Can it build a nuclear weapon in six months or a year if it tries? No.”

Vance noted that U.S. forces destroyed three Iranian nuclear facilities, describing the prevention of Tehran’s reconstruction efforts as the second phase of the U.S. administration’s initiatives.

He added, “What the President of the United States is trying to ensure is that Iran does not possess the resources or infrastructure necessary to rebuild, so that it remains unable to build a nuclear weapon after two or three years, or even ten years.”
