Crown Prince's Highness Discusses Strategic Projects Related to Digital Transformation with Alphabet Company - Sarmad

His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, representing His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, the Emir of Kuwait, received Ms. Ruth Porat, President and Chief Investment Officer of Alphabet and Google, at the permanent mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York City, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, the latest developments in the framework agreement between the Government of the State of Kuwait and Google Cloud were reviewed, along with the implementation of strategic projects related to digital transformation, cloud computing infrastructure, data centers, and the development of digital skills among Kuwaiti national cadres. The prospects for joint cooperation between the State of Kuwait and global company Alphabet were also discussed, in a manner that contributes to supporting the State of Kuwait’s vision.

Attending the meeting were Sheikh Jaraah Jaber Al-Ahmad, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; Ambassador Mansour Ayad Al-Otaibi; Ambassador Sadiq Muhammad Ma’arifi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Organizations Affairs; Sheikha Al-Zain Sabah Al-Nasser, Kuwait’s Ambassador to the United States of America; and Ambassador Tariq Muhammad Al-Bunai, Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
