Crown Prince Discusses with Microsoft Strengthening Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence Fields

Representing His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, the Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid, the Crown Prince, received Brad Smith, Vice Chairman of the Board and President of Microsoft Corporation, at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the strategic agreement between the State of Kuwait and Microsoft Corporation. It also highlighted preparations for the opening, within the coming weeks, of Microsoft’s largest digital innovation center in the region, to be located in Kuwait.

The discussions also addressed opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and data centers, aiming to accelerate Kuwait’s technological transformation, develop modern technology ecosystems, and build national competencies and capabilities in accordance with the highest global standards.

Attending the meeting were Sheikh Jeraf Jaber Al-Ahmad, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; Ambassador Mansour Ayyad Al-Otaibi; Sheikha Al-Zain Sabah Al-Nasser, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the United States of America; Ambassador Tariq Muhammad Al-Bunai, Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations; and Major General Ahmad Abdulrahman Al-Dai, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince.
