Kuwait and Saudi Arabia discuss enhancing military and security cooperation - Sarmad

(KUNA) – Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahayeb, Deputy Minister of Interior, chaired the Kuwait delegation participating in the meeting of the Military and Security Coordination Committee, which is a subsidiary body of the Kuwait-Saudi Coordination Council, held via video conferencing. The Ministry of Interior said in a press statement on Monday that the meeting was attended by representatives of relevant entities from both the Kuwaiti and Saudi sides, along with several security leaders and representatives from the Ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs, the National Cybersecurity Center, and the Public Authority for Combating Corruption (Nazaha). It was clarified that a number of agenda items and joint initiatives were discussed, as well as ways to enhance cooperation and coordination in military and security fields, alongside developing mechanisms for exchanging information and expertise to contribute to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of joint efforts. The statement noted that the meeting comes within the framework of the deep fraternal relations between Kuwait and the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the mutual commitment to continuing to strengthen security and military integration and harmonizing joint efforts to support the security and stability of both brotherly countries and the region.
