Marzouq Al-Ghanim congratulates Abdullah Shaaban on winning the karate gold medal at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games

Former Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanim congratulated Kuwaiti national team player Abdullah Shabban on winning the gold medal in karate at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, praising him for raising the Kuwaiti flag at the Asian event.

In a post on his X account, Al-Ghanim stated, “Gold is not achieved by chance; it is the result of years of determination, discipline, and perseverance.” He expressed his joy over Shabban’s achievement, emphasizing that the celebration extends beyond the medal itself to the moment a young Kuwaiti stood on the podium and had the name of Kuwait announced alongside his accomplishment.

He added, “Well done, Abdullah… You have raised our heads and hoisted the flag of Kuwait.”
