Trump: We are in continuous contact with the Houthis, who have agreed not to fight against U.S. forces

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Washington is in constant contact with the Houthi “Ansar Allah” group in Yemen, noting that they have agreed not to engage in combat against the United States.

Fox News correspondent Tripp Yingst reported that the U.S. president said Washington is “in constant contact with the Houthis, and they have agreed not to fight the United States.”

Trump had abruptly cut short his vacation at Camp David and returned to the White House, coinciding with escalating Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia.

According to Axios, Trump’s return coincided with rising tensions in the Middle East and a new U.S. security warning to citizens to exercise caution and prepare for the possibility of flight cancellations and airspace closures.
