Trump attacks Supreme Court: Your rulings on birthright citizenship have cost America trillions of dollars

US President Donald Trump attacked the Supreme Court over rulings issued in the past six months regarding tariffs and birthright citizenship, arguing that the court has inflicted severe damage on the United States.
In a post on the Truth Social platform, Trump stated that the US Supreme Court “lacked the courage necessary to make America great again,” adding that its decisions on tariffs and birthright citizenship have “cost the United States trillions of dollars.”
Trump accused the court of inflicting “permanent damage” on the mechanism for acquiring citizenship in the United States, describing the period as “a sad chapter in American history,” before asserting: “We will prevail in the end.”
Earlier this year, the Supreme Court invalidated a Trump executive order that sought to restrict the scope of birthright citizenship, and it also issued a ruling against the tariffs imposed by his administration under emergency economic authorities.
