Pakistani Foreign Minister reaffirms to his Iranian counterpart the necessity of continuing energy supplies

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi discussed regional developments during a telephone conversation, according to the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In a statement, the ministry said that the Pakistani Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of uninterrupted energy supplies and the free flow of navigation in the Middle East.

The Pakistani Foreign Minister pointed out that dialogue and diplomacy are the only effective means to ensure peace and stability in the region.

Both sides agreed to maintain close cooperation and to hold a meeting in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, as stated by the Pakistani Foreign Ministry.
