Chief of Staff attends "Aqaba Initiative" meeting in Paris - Sarmad

(KUNA) — Chief of Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Khalid Al-Sharayan, participated in the Aqaba Initiative meeting held in Paris, the capital of France, with the attendance of several heads of state, chiefs of staff, military experts, and representatives from countries and international organizations.
The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces stated in a statement on Friday that the meeting, held in the presence of French President Emmanuel Macron, Jordanian King Abdullah II, and Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun, discussed ways to support the Lebanese Armed Forces and the Internal Security Forces and enhance their capabilities.
It added that the meeting also examined mechanisms for coordinating international efforts and exchanging views on security challenges, contributing to supporting the security and stability of Lebanon and the region.
The statement noted that Lieutenant General Al-Sharayan’s participation comes within the framework of Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening military cooperation and coordination with friendly and sister countries, and to supporting international efforts aimed at consolidating regional security and stability.
