Kuwait to Host the 2027 First Asian Games for Esports and Mind Sports

The Executive Board of the Asian Olympic Council approved, during its 110th meeting held on Friday, Kuwait’s hosting of the first Asian Games for Esports and Mind Sports in 2027.

Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Vice President of the Asian Olympic Council for the West Asia region and President of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, told KUNA that Kuwait’s hosting of the inaugural edition reflects strong confidence in the country’s potential and organizational capabilities.

Sheikh Fahad Al-Sabah affirmed that the Kuwait Olympic Committee will work in cooperation and coordination with the Asian Olympic Council and relevant authorities to provide all necessary requirements to ensure the success of the Games and present them in the best possible light, befitting Kuwait’s standing and its ability to host and organize Asian sporting events.

He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, President of the Asian Olympic Council, and to the members of the Council’s Executive Board for approving Kuwait’s hosting of the Games, expressing his pride in this confidence.
