Lebanon: Israeli occupation forces advance and artillery shelling resumes in the south - Sarmad

Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that Israeli occupation forces intensified their field operations on Friday, advancing their military vehicles while conducting artillery shelling on two towns in the country’s south.

The agency stated that an Israeli force advanced toward the outskirts of the town of Deir Mimas, located near the border in southeastern Lebanon, reaching the intersection area near a newly established Lebanese Army checkpoint, amid ongoing field activities in the region.

The agency noted that Israeli vehicles also advanced from the town of Al-Tayri toward the outskirts of Hadatha in the Bint Jbeil district.

It reported that Israeli artillery shelled the towns of Al-Mansouri and Majdal Zoun, as well as Wadi Al-Aziya, on Friday morning.

It is worth noting that Israeli occupation forces, which are present in dozens of southern villages and towns, have been carrying out systematic demolition operations at a near-daily pace, while continuing their aerial strikes and artillery bombardments.
