US State Department approves sale of F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia - Sarmad

The U.S. State Department has approved the sale of F-35 Lightning II fighter jets to Saudi Arabia, with an estimated value of approximately $24.3 billion, equivalent to 91.125 billion Saudi riyals.

The U.S. State Department emphasized that the sale of F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia will support the enhancement of the security of a key ally and strengthen Riyadh’s ability to deter current and future threats.
