Interior Ministry: 122 Wanted Individuals and Offenders Apprehended, 547 Traffic Violations Issued - Sarmad

The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Sector of Directorates of Security Affairs – Hawalli Governorate Security Directorate, carried out an extensive security campaign in cooperation with the Kuwait Municipality and the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition to enhance security presence, apprehend wanted individuals and violators, and enforce the law.

In a press statement on Thursday, the Ministry of Interior said the campaign resulted in the apprehension of 122 wanted individuals and violators, the implementation of 195 security deployment measures covering detachments, checkpoints, and fixed security posts, the issuance of 547 traffic violations, the seizure of five wanted vehicles, and the issuance of 62 warnings and removal notices for non-compliant vehicles.

It added that the campaign also led to the removal of 45 abandoned vehicles, trailers, caravans, buses, motorcycles, diwaniyas, and external fences, the provision of 34 humanitarian assistance cases, the issuance of seven violations for smoking in enclosed areas, the recording of 44 violations and reports by the Kuwait Municipality, the issuance of 14 violations by the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, and the destruction of 12 kilograms of adulterated food products.

The Ministry confirmed that the necessary legal measures were taken against those apprehended and those found in violation by the relevant authorities, each within its jurisdiction.
