Gulf Union Launches Digital Ticketing System for the 27th Gulf Cup - Sarmad

(KUNA) – The Gulf Football Association announced the launch of a digital ticketing system powered by Safe Tix technology for the 27th Gulf Cup, to be hosted in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from September 23 to October 6. The initiative, implemented in collaboration with the local organizing committee, aligns with the association’s strategy to enhance digital solutions and elevate the fan experience.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the association explained that the ticketing system offers advanced levels of security and ease of use. It allows fans to manage and transfer tickets via mobile phones and enter stadiums using this technology, which relies on a dynamic QR code that refreshes automatically. This mechanism strengthens protection against forgery and unauthorized use, including the misuse of screenshots, while enabling ticket validation at stadium gates without requiring an internet connection.
The statement added that each fan can book up to six tickets per match and select the specific matches they wish to attend during both the group stage and the knockout rounds.
Fans can also purchase tickets for the tournament through the association’s official website or the GFF Tickets app, and add the tickets to their mobile digital wallets. This provides a seamless digital experience that spans from ticket purchase and management to stadium entry.
The tournament will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, featuring eight Gulf national teams competing in 15 matches across two venues: King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City.
