Saudi Arabia's head coach announces the Green Falcons' squad for the 27th Gulf Cup

The head coach of the senior national team, Georgios Donis, announced the Saudi national team’s squad for the 27th Gulf Cup, which will be held in Jeddah Province from September 23 to October 6.

The squad comprises 26 players, as follows: Mohammed Al-Owais, Nawaf Al-Aqidi, Hamad Yusuf, Abdulilah Al-Amri, Jihad Zakari, Ryan Hamad, Hassan Al-Tambakti, Hassan Kadish, Nawaf Boushal, Mohammed Mahzari, Mutab Al-Harbi, Zakaria Hawsawi, Msaab Al-Juwair, Mohammed Al-Qahtani, Mohammed Kano, Ziyad Al-Juhani, Abdullah Al-Khaibari, Nasser Al-Dosari, Alaa Al-Haji, Sultan Mandash, Mohammed Abu Shammat, Hamam Al-Hamami, Saleh Abu Shammat, Abdullah Al-Hamdan, Firas Al-Brikan, and Abdullah Al-Salem.

The players are scheduled to report to the team’s training camp in Jeddah Province on Thursday evening in preparation for the tournament, while Al-Ahli FC players will join the camp on Sunday, September 20, following their participation with their club in the FIFA 2026 Intercontinental Cup.

The Saudi national team will kick off its preparatory program on Thursday evening with a training session at the King Abdullah Sports City training grounds in Jeddah, which will be closed to the media.

The national team tops Group A of the 27th Gulf Cup, alongside the national teams of Iraq, Oman, and Kuwait.

The Saudi team will begin its tournament campaign against Kuwait on Wednesday, September 23, followed by a match against Oman on Saturday, September 26, before concluding its group stage with a match against Iraq on Tuesday, September 29.
