Pakistani Prime Minister: Houthi attempt to target Mecca is an unforgivable act

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attempted attack on Mecca.

In a statement on Wednesday, he emphasized that Pakistan stands firmly and in solidarity, shoulder to shoulder, with Saudi Arabia following the Houthi militia’s attempt to target southern Mecca.

Sharif also reaffirmed his country’s support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in its defense of the security and sanctity of the Two Holy Mosques.

He described the attempt as “a vile, condemnable, and unforgivable act.”

He further paid tribute to the exceptional vigilance, courage, and professionalism demonstrated by the Saudi Royal Armed Forces through their swift and heroic response.

The Pakistani Prime Minister concluded by reiterating his call for the utmost restraint and de-escalation, noting that the region has already suffered more than enough from conflict.
