Turkey: Attacks in the Gulf undermine peace efforts and must stop immediately - Sarmad

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Tuesday that the reciprocal attacks in the Gulf region undermine efforts to de-escalate tensions and end the war between the United States and Iran, calling for an immediate halt to such actions. He added that Ankara attaches special importance to the stability of its neighbor, Iran.

Speaking at a joint press conference with his Azerbaijani counterpart in Baku, Fidan also stressed the need to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and to return to the status quo that existed before the outbreak of the war.

He added that Turkey is in contact with all relevant parties in search of a resolution to this crisis.
