"The Pentagon: Cost of War with Iran Reached $33.4 Billion... Until June 30 - Sarmad"

The Pentagon’s Inspector General, Hobart “Mike” Mayer, announced on Tuesday that the cost of the war with Iran had reached approximately $33.4 billion as of June 30.

The Inspector General revealed that the conflict with Iran had led to a shortage of U.S. ammunition and caused bottlenecks in supply chains.

He stated that the Pentagon is working to streamline procurement processes and reduce production lead times, as well as building up stocks of critical materials, components, and selected munitions to ensure rapid response to any emergency.

Last Saturday, a senior Pentagon official said that lawmakers must act to fulfill the U.S. administration’s request for $1.5 trillion in funding, if the military is to replenish its stocks of air defense interceptors and long-range strike weapons that were heavily used in the war with Iran.
