Decree issued accepting the resignation of Minister of Commerce and Industry Osama Boudi - Sarmad

(KUNA) – On Monday, a decree was issued accepting the resignation of Minister of Commerce and Industry Osama Khaled Abdullah Boudi and appointing Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment Abdulaziz Nasser Abdulaziz Al-Merzouq as Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry. The text of the decree follows:

“Decree No. 148 of 2026 Accepting the Resignation of the Minister of Commerce and Industry and Appointing an Acting Minister

Having reviewed the Constitution,

Having reviewed the Emiri Decision issued on 2 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1445 AH, corresponding to 10 May 2024 CE,

Having reviewed Decree No. 73 of 2024 on the formation of the Cabinet and its amendments,

Having reviewed Decree No. 84 of 2024 concerning ministerial replacements and acting appointments and its amendments,

And having reviewed the resignation submitted by Osama Khaled Abdullah Boudi, Minister of Commerce and Industry,

And based on the proposal of the Acting Prime Minister, we have decreed as follows:

Article 1: The resignation of Osama Khaled Abdullah Boudi, Minister of Commerce and Industry, is accepted.

Article 2: Abdulaziz Nasser Abdulaziz Al-Merzouq, Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, in addition to his current duties, is appointed as Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry.

Article 3: The Prime Minister shall implement this decree, which shall take effect from the date of its issuance and be published in the Official Gazette.
