Kuwait reaffirms support for joint Gulf cooperation in education and scientific research - Sarmad

(KUNA) – Kuwait’s Undersecretary of State for Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Badr Al-Busairi, affirmed on Sunday the state’s commitment to continuing its support for joint Gulf cooperation in the fields of higher education and scientific research, in a manner that contributes to the development of educational and research systems and enhances their outputs.
This came during Al-Busairi’s participation via video link in the preparatory meeting of the undersecretaries of the ministries of higher education and scientific research of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, ahead of the 26th meeting of the GCC Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, scheduled to be held in the Bahraini capital, Manama, next Wednesday.
Al-Busairi clarified that enhancing the exchange of expertise and experiences among GCC member states constitutes a fundamental pillar for developing the higher education and scientific research sectors and supporting the trajectory of joint Gulf development.
The meeting discussed a number of agenda items and ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination among GCC member states in the fields of higher education and scientific research, as well as follow-up on initiatives and issues of shared Gulf interest.
