Egyptian President to Iranian Counterpart: Necessity of Halting Any Aggressions Against Arab States - Sarmad

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi met with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian in the Indian capital, New Delhi, on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS summit.
According to the spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency, el-Sisi stressed during the meeting his country’s firm stance in supporting efforts to restore stability in the region.
The Egyptian president affirmed Egypt’s hope that Iran would make every possible effort to halt escalation and reach a comprehensive and sustainable peaceful settlement of the crisis, thereby safeguarding the sovereignty of the countries in the region and protecting the resources and well-being of their peoples.
El-Sisi also emphasized the necessity of halting any aggression against Arab states, in order to uphold the principles of good neighborliness and strengthen the historical and cultural ties that bind the peoples of the region.
