Saudi Energy: Precautionary shutdown of East-West pipeline following multiple attacks - Sarmad

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy announced on Friday that the East-West Pipeline had been temporarily shut down as a precautionary measure after it was targeted in the Riyadh and Medina regions on Thursday.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA), citing a senior official at the Ministry of Energy, reported that “the East-West Pipeline in the Riyadh and Medina regions was subjected to multiple attacks on Thursday morning. The pipeline was shut down as a precaution, and the attacks resulted in some injuries. Medical care has been provided to the injured.”
The official clarified that emergency response teams and specialized technical crews began their work immediately following the attacks, taking necessary measures to secure the pipeline and verify its integrity, in accordance with approved safety procedures and emergency plans, in coordination with relevant authorities. Any further developments will be announced in due course.
