“People with Disabilities” Launches 10 New Services via “Sahl” - Sarmad

The Public Authority for Persons with Disabilities announced the launch of 10 new e-services via the “Sahl” application, aiming to streamline procedures and save time and effort for persons with disabilities and their caregivers. This initiative aligns with the directives of the political leadership to enhance the quality of government services and facilitate citizens’ access to them, reflecting the state’s commitment to strengthening services provided to persons with disabilities.

Dr. Khalifa Al-Hila, Deputy Director General of the Medical, Psychological, and Social Services Sector at the Public Authority for Persons with Disabilities, stated that the launch of these services is part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to develop its e-services and improve the level of services provided to beneficiaries, enabling them to complete various transactions and access services electronically with ease.

He confirmed that the new services include “requesting a letter to reduce working hours for persons with disabilities and their caregivers, requesting a certificate for whom it may concern, and receiving certificates, including disability and caregiver certificates; scheduling appointments with medical committees; and requesting certificate renewals.”

He added that the services also cover “requesting retirement benefits for persons with disabilities, requesting hearing aids, requesting wheelchairs, requesting fingerprint exemption for persons with disabilities, and submitting a request for a parking permit.”
