«Interior Ministry»: Two Bangladeshis arrested with «drug cocktails» in Mubarak Al-Kabeer - Sarmad

The Ministry of Interior stated that the Criminal Security Sector, represented by the Investigations Department of the Al-Mubarrah Al-Kabir Governorate, succeeded in arresting suspects of Bangladeshi nationality in a case involving the trafficking of narcotics and psychoactive substances.

In a statement on the X platform on Friday, the ministry said the arrest operation followed suspicions regarding an individual found in a dirt lot, where narcotics and psychoactive substances were seized in his possession. He confessed to storing the drugs in dirt lots and sending their locations to another person for pickup, and he guided investigators to five sites where the substances were seized, as well as additional quantities found inside his residence in Al-Mahbula.

The ministry confirmed that he also admitted to obtaining the substances from an Asian individual whose identity was unknown. Investigations led to identifying and arresting this individual inside his residence in Al-Mutla, where narcotics and psychoactive substances were discovered.

The ministry detailed that the total seized items from the suspects amounted to 33 bags of marijuana weighing approximately 46.4 grams, 175 bags of methamphetamine weighing approximately 182.4 grams, 7 bags of heroin weighing approximately 5.8 grams, 85 capsules of Captagon (a psychoactive substance), 178 pills of Larica (a psychoactive substance), 6 bags containing A4-sized paper sheets soaked with a chemical substance, 3 sensitive scales, and a set of drug paraphernalia.

It was clarified that the suspects and the seized items have been referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal actions against them.
