Ministry of Education: The issuance regarding the military uniform by one of the school administrations was an individual decision - Sarmad

The Ministry of Education stated that, in response to circulating social media posts regarding a school administration issuing a notice with instructions for parents regarding military attire when visiting the school, the Ministry clarified that such issuance was an individual action by the school administration and did not represent an official stance or decision issued by the Ministry.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Ministry emphasized that the Comprehensive Educational Regulations are the authoritative reference governing operations in schools, stressing that all school administrations must adhere to its provisions and to official decisions and circulars issued by the Ministry, and must not unilaterally introduce any new rules or instructions without consulting the competent authorities.

The Ministry further noted that, under the directives of Minister of Education Eng. Sayed Jalal Al-Tabatabai, it has initiated the necessary administrative and legal measures regarding the incident. The concerned school administration was ordered to immediately remove the notice, and the case was referred to an administrative investigation to ascertain the circumstances and hold those responsible accountable in accordance with prevailing systems and regulations.

In this context, the Ministry of Education expressed its pride and appreciation for members of military and security agencies, commending their national role and their sincere efforts in serving Kuwait and safeguarding its security and stability.

The Ministry reiterated to all school administrations the necessity of adhering to the Comprehensive Educational Regulations, approved official decisions and circulars, and complying with the frameworks and rules governing school operations, and prohibited any unilateral issuance of instructions or regulations without referring to the relevant authorities within the Ministry.
