Al-Yousef: Kuwait has officially submitted a bid to host the AFC Futsal Asian Cup - Sarmad

Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousef, President of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Football Association, announced that Kuwait has officially submitted a bid to host the AFC Futsal Asian Cup, scheduled from January 25 to February 6, 2028, which also serves as the qualifying tournament for the 2028 FIFA World Cup. He noted that Kuwait has prior experience in hosting the tournament, having successfully organized the 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup.

The Association President clarified that a delegation from the Asian Football Confederation will visit Kuwait at the end of September to inspect the sports facilities that will host the tournament events.

Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousef emphasized that Kuwaiti sports youth are capable of organizing major events and matches, citing their recent successful organization of the French Super Cup and the Gulf Cup as prime examples.
