Interior Ministry: Four suspects arrested in a 'local liquor factory' in Jakhur on Abdali Road - Sarmad

The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Administration of Criminal Investigations – Al-Jahra Governorate Criminal Investigations Department, arrested four Indian nationals for using a desert shelter as a site for the production, storage, and sale of locally brewed alcohol.

Investigative efforts led to the identification of the shelter used by the suspects as a base for manufacturing and storing local alcohol. Consequently, a raid was conducted on the site, resulting in the apprehension of three suspects caught in the act of production. The fourth suspect was arrested upon arriving at the shelter to purchase a quantity of local alcohol for resale.

A search of the site yielded 236 plastic bottles filled with local alcohol ready for sale, a large number of barrels and raw materials used in production, along with a sum of money.

During questioning, the three suspects admitted to using the shelter as a site for manufacturing, storing, and selling local alcohol out of public view. The fourth suspect admitted to purchasing local alcohol for resale. It was also revealed that three of the suspects were wanted under arrest warrants, including one related to fraud and deception.

Appropriate legal measures have been taken against the suspects, and coordination has been established with the Kuwait Municipality to demolish the illegal site.
