"Commerce": Seizure of illegal warehouses in Hawalli... selling used tires - Sarmad

The Ministry of Commerce stated that joint efforts between the Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Administration, represented by the Hawalli Governorate inspection unit, and the Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Traffic, led to the seizure of several garages in the governorate.
In a statement on the X platform on Wednesday, the ministry added that the garages were found to have committed several violations, including repairing vehicles damaged in traffic accidents and changing vehicle colors without obtaining written authorization from the Ministry of Interior. Additionally, the garages were found to possess and sell used tires and failed to display a schedule outlining warranty periods for new, refurbished, and used spare parts in a conspicuous location.
The ministry confirmed that official seizure reports were issued against the violating garages, and all prescribed legal measures were taken against the offenders, in coordination between the relevant authorities in the two ministries.
