Kuwait Stock Exchange indicators diverge at closing - Sarmad

The Kuwait Stock Exchange closed its trading session on Wednesday with its general index rising by 3.27 points, or 0.04 percent, to reach 8,928.01 points. A total of 378.8 million shares were traded across 28,122 cash transactions, valued at 106 million Kuwaiti dinars.
The main market index rose by 24.63 points, or 0.27 percent, to reach 9,281.64 points, driven by the trading of 210.6 million shares through 16,441 cash transactions, valued at 43.5 million dinars.
The First Market index fell by 1.09 points, or 0.01 percent, to reach 9,316.12 points, with 168.2 million shares traded across 11,681 cash transactions, valued at 62.5 million dinars.
The “Main 50” index also declined by 17.47 points, or 0.16 percent, to reach 11,047.64 points, as 153.4 million shares were traded through 10,974 cash transactions, valued at 29.7 million dinars.
Among the top gainers were Awal Takaful, Aabar, Hotels, and EVA, while the biggest decliners were Al-Mu’ad, Tahasilat, Al-I’ada, and Wathiq.
