Egypt and Bahrain Foreign Ministers Discuss Intensifying Efforts to De-escalate Tensions - Sarmad

Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Dr. Badr Abdelatty held a telephone conversation with his Bahraini counterpart, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, to discuss various aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as recent regional developments and their implications for the security and stability of the region.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement on Wednesday that the two ministers praised during the call the deep fraternal bilateral relations uniting the two countries and the level of cooperation established between them across various fields, expressing their aspiration to continue and strengthen these relations in the coming period.

Regarding current regional developments, the ministers emphasized, according to the statement, the importance of continuing close coordination and consultation during the current phase and intensifying efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and containing any flare-ups, thereby contributing to maintaining the security and stability of the region.
