US Official: Military Drone Submarine Malfunctions in the Middle East - Sarmad

A U.S. official told Reuters that a U.S. military unmanned underwater vehicle malfunctioned in the Middle East more than a day ago, clarifying that the submersible is of an older model and does not carry classified sonar equipment.

The official added that the underwater vehicle does not pose a risk of exposing classified military technologies or equipment.

State media announced on Tuesday that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy said it had seized a U.S. unmanned underwater vehicle at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz.
