«Interior»: Destruction of 21 tankers and a truck used in the theft and trafficking of subsidized diesel - Sarmad

In accordance with directives from the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, 21 tankers and trucks seized in two separate cases were crushed. These vehicles had been used to steal subsidized diesel fuel provided by the state, as well as to collect, transport, and resell it, as part of efforts to combat these crimes and protect public funds.
The crushing operation included eight tankers and trucks in the first case and 13 in the second, following the registration of both cases and the completion of all legal procedures and public prosecution measures related to the seized items.
It was revealed that some tanker owners had leased their vehicles under a contract arrangement, fully aware that they would be used for this illegal activity, thereby facilitating the collection, transportation, and trafficking of stolen diesel.
This measure aims to deter anyone who uses machinery and equipment to commit crimes or makes them available to others, knowing they will be used for illegal activities, and to reinforce respect for the law, protect public funds, and safeguard state resources.
