Meteorology Department: Chance of scattered light rain from tomorrow evening until Thursday - Sarmad

The Director of the Meteorology Department, Essam Al-Ali, said on Monday that the country is experiencing hot and humid weather, which is reducing horizontal visibility due to fog, and this condition will persist until next Thursday.

Al-Ali told KUNA that weather maps and numerical models indicate that the country is affected by an extension of the seasonal Indian low, accompanied by a hot and humid air mass, particularly in coastal areas.

He clarified that the impact of this low-pressure system will lead to continued humid weather and reduced horizontal visibility in some areas, especially coastal ones, due to fog.

He noted that winds will be variable to southeasterly, light to moderate in speed, ranging between 8 and 35 kilometers per hour.

He added that the weather will generally be hot and humid during the day and hot to moderately warm and humid at night, especially in coastal areas, until Thursday, with chances of fog forming in some areas during the late night and early morning hours.

He predicted that low and medium clouds will increase from Tuesday evening until Thursday, with chances of scattered light rain in some areas.

Regarding expected temperatures, Al-Ali said the high will range between 43 and 46 degrees Celsius, while the low will range between 29 and 32 degrees Celsius.
