Interior Ministry Launches Security Operation to Crack Down on Violators and Wanted Persons in Salmiya Scrap Area and Umghara Region - Sarmad

(KUNA) – The Ministry of Interior, through its Criminal Security Sector, carried out a security operation in the Al-Salmiya scrapyard and the Umghara area, as part of ongoing security efforts to apprehend violators and wanted individuals and enforce the law.

In a press statement on Sunday, the Ministry said the operation resulted in the registration of 43 violators of the Labor Law among holders of Article 18 residency permits, and the apprehension of 22 violators of the Residency Law among holders of Article 20 residency permits.

It added that three individuals with outstanding absconding reports were apprehended, two individuals involved in diesel theft cases were detained, street vendors were apprehended, and a Kuwaiti national subject to an arrest warrant in connection with a drug case was also caught. Necessary legal measures were taken against those apprehended, and they were referred to the competent authorities.
