Trump: We may soon strike Iran's Bushehr nuclear facility - Sarmad

US President Donald Trump announced on Friday that the United States may soon strike Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility.

Trump stated, “We control the Strait of Hormuz, and many ships are passing through it.”

In remarks made earlier that day, Trump said the United States is monitoring Iran’s nuclear sites via cameras and can identify every individual entering or exiting them.

In an interview with Britain’s GB News, Trump clarified that the surveillance includes the Natanz site, as well as the three other Iranian nuclear facilities targeted by US strikes last year.

He said, “We have cameras monitoring all key areas at the first three sites, and we also have cameras at Natanz. We know every person who enters and leaves, and we can read their names.”

Trump reiterated his assertion that the three nuclear sites had been “completely destroyed,” but he suggested the possibility that Tehran might have another facility at Natanz, adding that the United States is aware of what is happening there, amid uncertainty regarding the nature of the underground installation.

The US president again claimed that Iran was two to four weeks away from acquiring a nuclear weapon before the US strikes, emphasizing that preventing Tehran from developing such a weapon was the primary objective of the US military actions.

He also argued that his decision to withdraw from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal during his first term contributed to delaying Tehran’s nuclear program.

He added that the targeted sites contained large quantities of nuclear material usable for weapon production, claiming it was now buried under millions of tons of rock, making access extremely difficult.
