Rescue teams have been racing against time for two days to save Ayoub, a child who fell into a dry well in the El Bayadh province in southwestern Algeria, while the Civil Protection authority reported that rescue operations had reached advanced stages, recalling the case of “Ryan the Moroccan.”
Ten-year-old Ayoub fell into a dry well approximately 80 meters deep and no more than 40 centimeters in diameter in the municipality of El Gassoul, El Bayadh province, on Wednesday, making the task of reaching him extremely difficult.
Civil Protection teams and specialized units have continued their efforts to reach the child, deploying various machinery and equipment in a race against time to extract him.
