Lebanon receives four prisoners held by the Israeli occupation - Sarmad

Lebanon announced on Friday that it had received four prisoners, held by the Israeli occupation, through the International Committee of the Red Cross.

A convoy from the International Committee of the Red Cross headed toward the town of Naqoura at the Ras Naqoura border crossing in the south to receive the prisoners from the Israeli occupation, and subsequently handed them over to the Lebanese Army in the Mansouri area south of Sidon.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun expressed his gratitude in a statement for all the efforts and initiatives undertaken, particularly by the United States under the leadership of its President Donald Trump, and by international bodies, foremost among them the International Committee of the Red Cross, which led today to the release of the first batch of Lebanese detainees by the Israeli occupation government.
