«Interior»: 4 suspects arrested in two cases of smuggling and trafficking in narcotics and psychotropic substances - Sarmad

The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Administration for Combating Narcotics, in coordination with the General Administration of Customs, arrested three suspects in a case involving the importation of narcotics and psychoactive substances from abroad for trafficking purposes. This followed intelligence indicating that two of them had brought the drugs into the country, and they were apprehended immediately upon entry.

Upon confrontation with the seized items, the two suspects confessed to importing the drugs to hand them over to a third suspect, who was subsequently arrested. Investigations revealed that they had been in contact with an individual residing abroad to arrange the receipt and transportation of the substances. Coordination was established with relevant security authorities abroad to continue investigations into the other parties involved in the case.

In a separate incident, the International Combating Department of the General Administration for Combating Narcotics arrested a suspect in possession of a quantity of narcotics and psychoactive substances intended for trafficking and personal use.

Seized items in the first case:

– 300 Captagon tablets

– 150 grams of cocaine

– 150 sheets of A4-sized synthetic cannabis

– 10 grams of hashish

– A sensitive scale

Seized items in the second case:

– 90 sheets of A4-sized synthetic cannabis

– 10 chemical ampoules

– 30 grams of shabu

– A sensitive scale

Legal procedures were taken against the suspects, and they, along with the seized items, were referred to the competent authorities.
