Turki Al-Sheikh announces SAR 1 million prize for the millionth ticket holder of the film 'Spend Dogz' - Sarmad

Turki Al Sheikh, advisor and chairman of the board of directors of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority (GEA), announced on Wednesday that the owner of ticket number one million for the global Arabic action film “Sven Dogez” will receive a cash prize of one million riyals.

The highest-grossing film in the history of Arab cinema, currently screening exclusively at Fox Cinemas across the Kingdom, is nearing the milestone of its one-millionth ticket sale, reflecting the strong audience interest since its local and international release.

Since its launch in late May, the film has maintained a strong presence in cinemas worldwide. Its release began two weeks ago in India, further bolstering the successes it has achieved at both the local and regional levels and expanding its footprint as one of the most prominent globally oriented Arab cinematic productions.

The film has recorded the highest ticket sales for a Saudi Arab film and the highest opening weekend for any film in Arab cinema history, achieving more than 3.25 million tickets sold in the Arab world and generating revenues exceeding $24.2 million.

The film tells the story of an Interpol officer who confronts an international criminal network specializing in drug trafficking, featuring a mix of action, chases, and thrilling confrontations. The cast includes a distinguished ensemble of Arab and international cinema and drama stars, led by Karim Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Ezz, Nasser Al-Qasabi, and Tara Emad, alongside global star Monica Bellucci, Indian cinema icons Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, and American actor Giancarlo Esposito. The film is based on a story by Turki Al Sheikh, with a screenplay by Mohammed Al-Dabbagh, and is directed by the international duo Adel Al-Arabi and Bilal Fallah.
