Kuwait: Continued Iranian attacks constitute a serious escalation threatening regional security - Sarmad

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the reprehensible Iranian attacks with hostile missiles and drones that targeted several sites in the country early Wednesday morning, including a residential complex, in a blatant violation of its sovereignty and a threat to its security and stability.

In a statement, the Ministry affirmed that the continuation of these attacks constitutes a serious breach of the provisions of international law and the United Nations Charter, a clear violation of Security Council Resolution 2817, and a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region and undermines diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and reducing tensions.

The Ministry reiterated Kuwait’s full right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security and interests, and ensure the safety of its people and residents on its territory, in accordance with international law.
