Minister of Social Affairs Discusses with Lebanese Ambassador Strengthening Cooperation in Social and Humanitarian Fields - Sarmad

(KUNA) – Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailan, Minister of Social Affairs, Labor, Social Development, Family, and Children, held talks with Ghadi Al-Khouri, Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic to Kuwait, on ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, particularly in social and humanitarian fields.
The Ministry of Social Affairs said in a press statement on Monday that the meeting discussed prospects for developing institutional cooperation frameworks and coordination regarding joint protocols and agreements in social affairs, contributing to the exchange of expertise and experiences and the development of programs and services provided to beneficiary groups.
It added that the two sides discussed areas of cooperation in caring for the elderly, supporting and empowering persons with disabilities, and leveraging shared experiences and expertise to develop the social care system and enhance social integration and community participation.
The statement clarified that the meeting also addressed ways to strengthen cooperation between charitable societies and public benefit institutions in both countries, and to support joint humanitarian and social initiatives, reflecting the deep fraternal and historical ties between the State of Kuwait and the Lebanese Republic.
The statement quoted Minister Al-Huwailan emphasizing the importance of continuing coordination and working to translate proposed areas of cooperation into practical programs and initiatives that serve common interests and enhance social and humanitarian efforts in both countries.
