Liverpool announces signing of Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain - Sarmad

Liverpool officially announced the signing of French striker Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain in a major deal that strengthens the team’s attack and provides manager Andoni Iraola with one of European football’s most prominent attacking talents.

According to ESPN sources, the guaranteed value of the deal is £106 million, with the potential to rise to £123 million if performance-related incentives are met. Barcola has signed a five-year contract with the Reds.

The 23-year-old Barcola has become Liverpool’s second most expensive signing in the club’s history, behind striker Alexander Isak, who joined the club last summer from Newcastle United for £125 million.

Barcola had been a long-term target for Liverpool, and the player himself was keen on moving to Anfield, rejecting other options during the summer as he sought greater playing opportunities after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite his key role in PSG’s successes in recent years, intense competition within the attacking line made it increasingly difficult for Barcola to secure a regular starting spot, prompting him to consider a departure.

Last season, the French winger featured in 49 matches, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists. He also played eight matches for the French national team at the World Cup, netting three goals.

During his time at Paris Saint-Germain, Barcola won the French league title and the UEFA Champions League twice in consecutive seasons before deciding to embark on a new challenge in the English Premier League.
